The International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and China Institute of Space Law (CISL) will hold a Seminar on National Space Legislation in Beijing, China on 17 November 2014, as a side event of the UN/China/APSCO Space Law Workshop.

This Seminar is jointly sponsored by IISL and CISL, and hosted by the Space Law Institute of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). The theme of the Seminar will be "Lessons Learned from the National Space Legislation of Leading Space-faring Nations".

The following keynote speakers will give presentations:

Prof. Tanja Masson-Zwaan, University of Leiden, the Netherlands:
Lessons Learned from National Space Legislation of some European States

Prof. Henry Hertzfeld, the George Washington University, USA:
Lessons Learned from US National Space Legislation

Prof. Setsuko Aoki, Keio University, Japan:
Lessons Learned from Japanese National Space Legislation

Each speaker will give a 20-minute presentation, followed by 10 minutes Q&A.

The Seminar will be held on Monday 17 November 2014, 20:00-21:30 on the BIT campus in Beijing.
