In line with the revised IISL statutes, applications for a new category of membership, prospective members, is now available for young professionals and other individuals who have demonstrated an interest in space law. They may be nominated for Prospective Membership to the IISL by a Director or by three Individual Members in good standing, and shall confirm that they accept to be nominated. Prospective Members are exempted from payment of membership dues. They have the right to attend meetings of the General Assembly, but do not have the right to vote. Prospective Members who have had that status for at least two years may apply for Individual Membership.
